So I have been a busy bee this last few days, feeling quite proud of myself! I have two new songs in the pipeline, one is nearly finished and the other needs a few more lyrical tweaks but we’re nearly there!

..there was a girl called Heidi, who wrote one day, "Once upon a time there was a girl called Heidi"....
Inspiration this time I got as me and Adam went for a walk in Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilkley* (translation: Ilkley) It was a gorgeous sunny evening, the sun was still high and it was one of those times where it is almost like the evening is holding its breath as it draws to a close. The concept I won’t go into great detail yet as I’d like to complete it and unveil it once I’m done. It’s about friendship about how those you walk with in your life are often the ones who hurt the most. That there will be times when you get hurt, betrayed and feel you cannot trust. But there is always someone who is often in the corner of your vision, your blind-spot who is the support you need to get through a particularly tough patch.
It’s a fun little song although the lyrics are a little sorrowful in places. Though the heart of the song isn’t sung from a victim mentality or a wounded casualty who cannot go one, its sung by someone who will not allow this to cripple them and they realise that those nearest are often the soothing ointment to our wounds.
More later once complete.
